Russian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Armenia Vyacheslav Kovalenko had a meeting with veterans of the Great Patriotic War at the Russian embassy in Armenia on May 5 to commemorate the 66th anniversary of the Great Victory.
15 veterans and 2 victims of the siege of Leningrad received congratulatory messages from Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, honorary emblems, gifts from the embassy and the Areximbank-Group of Gazprombank. Four veterans received air tickets to visit Saint-Petersburg, where celebrations of the 66th anniversary of the Great Victory will be held.
The ambassador congratulated the veterans and underlined their contribution to achieving victory.
