Students of the history section of Moscow State University have arrived in Baku, where they performed for the veterans of the Great Patriotic War. The visit was organized with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Fund.
Deputy Dean of the history section of the university, Professor of the Russian University for the Humanities Alexey Vlasov, said that it is a day of common memory, one of the brightest and most tragic days for Azerbaijan and Russia.
16 students of the university were invited to mark the 66th anniversary of the Great Victory over Fascism on May 9. The Deputy Dean of the history section of the Moscow State University, Alexey Vlasov, and the head of the Center for Caucasus Studies of the Moscow State University for the Humanities, Ismail Agakishiyev, are part of the delegation.
They visited the Alley of Honour in Baku and laid flowers at the tomb of the National Hero, Heydar Aliyev, and Hero of the Soviet Union Azi Aslanova.
The students will perform for veterans of the Great Patriotic War, organized with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Fund.
