Baku has held an extended council on the realization of the state program for socio-economic development of the city and its villages for 2011-2013, the Azerbaijani Ministry for Economic Development said on Wednesday, Trend reports. The program was passed on May 4.
The council was organized by the Ministry of Economic Development, with participation of officials from state structures, executive authorities of the city and local executives.
Minister of Economic Development Shakhin Mustafayev said that the city will improve electrification, gasification, water supplies and sewers, heating, roads and infrastructure, reconstruction projects, ecology, socio-cultural facilities, new enterprises and workplaces will open.
The minister noted that all work is held according to modern quality standards. The ministry and the city executives will establish a working and monitoring groups. Working groups will collect information on realization of the program and coordination of monitoring groups. An interactive map for control over the program will be prepared.
