The police of Armenia have received a message about a bomb at the airport of Zvartnots in Yerevanm News Armenia cites the PR Chief of Armenian Police Armen Malkhasyan.
The message was received at 15.30. People were evacuated and flights halted.
An operative center to check inspect the airport was established, press-secretary of the Armenia-International Airports Gevork Abramyan said.
The operative center consists of special police forces, National Security Service, Emergencies Ministry, Main Administration of Civil Aviation.
Zvartnots will open a new terminal soon. The airport has the B-category.
The Armenia-International Airports Company has been exploiting the airport according to the agreement on concessional management for 30 years, signed with the Armenian government in 2001.
The company is owned by the American International Airports, belonging to an Argentinian citizen of Armenian origin Eduardo Eurnekian.
