A public opinion survey was conducted by Istanbul Fatih University in Armenia, Georgia, Greece, Iran, Syria, Iraq and Bulgaria to study the impact of Turkish foreign policy on its neighboring countries, Armenia Today reports, referring to the newspaper Zaman.
In answer to the question "In what place do you see Turkey on the list of the best neighbors of your country?" 60% of Syrians put Turkey in first place. In Bulgaria, Turkey is also considered to be a very good neighbor, for Iran it is in fourth place. Armenia and Greece, however, called Turkey their worst neighbor.
27% of the survey's participants (and 65% among the Iranians) see Turkey as a possible country to emigrate to in the event of civil war.
