A blast happened at the Abadan refinery in Iran when President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was visiting the plant, Trend reports.
The blast was caused by a fire. A black cloud formed over the refinery.
Mehr says that 21 people were injured and 2 died. Some people were harmed by carbon dioxide, including Ahmadinejad’s accompanies. All injured people were taken to the hospital of Akhvaz. The president was not injured.
Ahmadinejad ordered all injured in the fire to be taken to the hospital via plane.
Preliminary information says that the fire was caused by gas leakage.
