More than 800 thousand pupils say goodbye to school today. ITAR-TASS reported that the ministry of education and science stated the number of graduates this year decreased in comparison with last year. Also, the number of children who will sit the Unified State Examination decreased by 10%.
It was said that the number of budgetary-assisted places at universities decreased slightly in comparison with 2010. This year for every 1000 graduates there are about 440 budgetary-assisted places.
The Farewell Bell is the beginning of a hard period for pupils, as the first Unified State Examinations will be sat on May 27th. The end of the examination period is June 20.
