Today the President of Dagestan met with Presidential Adviser and Civic Society and Human Rights Development Council Chairman Mikhail Fedotov, RIA Novosti-Dagestan reports.
The Dagestani President expressed his high regard for the decision to conduct the session of the Council in Dagestan. He added that the government of the Dagestani Republic attributes great importance to the same issues the Council takes up, such as human rights and freedom of the media.
According to Mr. Fedotov, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev insisted that this session of the Council would be held in one of the Caucasian Republics of the Russian Federation.
