Turkish Agriculture Ministry says Russian tourists in Bodrum were poisoned with whiskey

The Turkish Agriculture Ministry analyzed five samples of drinks at
the yacht club in Bodrum and said that over 20 Russian tourists had
been poisoned by a low-quality whiskey called Mister Burdon, RIA
Novosti
reports.

Methyl alcohol in the whiskey exceeded the norm three-fold.

The alcohol was imported by the firm Jasmine from Northern Cyprus to a
local Ankara market by the company Birlik Gyda. 12,000 bottles were
sold in Antalya, Mugla, Merisna and Ankara.

The registration address of Birlik Gyda turned out to be false, the
Heber Turk newspaper reports.
