A new stadium "Dalğa Arena" and an auxiliary field have been opened in Mardakyan, constructed by AFFA at the Football Center to mark the 100th anniversary of Azerbaijani football, Trend reports.
The red line was cut by presidents of the FIFA Sepp Blatter, UEFA Michel Platini and AFFA Rovnag Abdullayev.
They viewed the new sports facilities.
Blatter said that he will visit Azerbaijan for the World Women's Football Cup for girls aged under 17.
Construction of "Dalğa Arena" started on April 24, 2010. It will hold 6,500 spectators.
