Ecologists demand expansion of the Sochi national park

Russian ecologists say that it's necessary to expand the territory of Sochi national park in order to compensate for the deforestation and damage to the environment inflicted by the construction of the Olympic facilities in Sochi, RIA Novosti reports.

According to Igor Chestin, the head of the Russian office of the World Wildlife Fund, great damage has been inflicted on the environment during the construction of the Olympic facilities.
