Chechen Investigative Committee requests information about veterans

The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Chechnya request information about participants of the conficts that occured in the
republic.

The official representative of Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov assured the Russian online newspaper Gazeta.ru that this inquiry is not going to harm veterans.

According to the Chechen official. the Russian media shouldn't cause panic, as the aim of this inquiry is only to find out more
information about the First and the Second Chechen Wars.

The Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Russian radio station Echo of Moscow, Vladimir Varfolomeyev, says it's hard to believe that Ramzan Kadyrov's officials have started such an investigation without any serious purpose.
