Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh since 1992 and their children may receive IDs and become citizens of Azerbaijan, head of the Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno-Karabakh, Bayram Safarov, said, Trend reports.
Documents issued by local structures to Armenians are fake. Only the Azerbaijani government is authorized to issue IDs. Armenians are more willing to be registered in Azerbaijan, Safarov said. He also urged Armenians with Azerbaijani citizenship to support the policy of President Ilham Aliyev.
