The authorities of Stavropol region and Kabardino-Balkaria will appeal
to the Russian Ministry for Natural Resources to provide financial
assistance for carrying out operations to normalise fresh water inflow
into the salty Lake Tambukan, reports RIA Novosti.
Tambukan is an endorheic lake, located nine kilometers south-east of
Pyatigorsk on the border with Kabardino-Balkaria. The lake is a source

Mineralnie Vodi region and also exported.
The project's cost is estimated at 380 million roubles.
