Traffic was restored at the Rikotsky Gorge in Georgia, connecting the
country's eastern and western parts, Minister for Regional Development
and Infrastructure Ramaz Nikolaishvili said, Trend reports.
Floods and landslides damaged 25 road sections. 8 Georgian companies
with over 500 specialists have been restoring them.
6 people died at the Rikotsky Gorge in a landslide on June 19. They
were working at a local restaurant. 14 million lari ($1 = 1.64 lari)
were spent on restoring the road.
The Georgian president ordered the urgent restoration of the road for
the tourism season and for freight traffic to Azerbaijan and Armenia.
