Russia needs to develop a systematic approach to promoting youth and
solving their problems, the head of the Ministry of Sport, Tourism and
Youth Policy, Vitaly Mutko, said today at a meeting with leaders of
youth associations, dedicated to the celebration of Youth Day, RIA
Novosti reports.
Mutko noted that "the NGOs should represent the interests of certain
categories of young people, to express their position and to speak
about what worries our young people today."
The celebration of the Youth Day also took place in the North
Caucasus. Today, the mayor of Makhachkala, Said Amirov met with a
youth delegation from Stavropol and Makhachkala with the participation
of renowned athletes and coaches.
The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, called Youth Day "one of the
biggest Russian holidays".
