A festival of ethnic culture "Stavropol International" is taking place today in Stavropol Krai, ITAR TASS reports. The festival is devoted to the anniversary of the region. Its motto is "Stavropol Krai - my youth". Cultural and sporting events, and a "night of museums" will be held within the festival.
Stavropol Krai appeared on the maps in 1924, the year it was separated from the South-Eastern Oblast'. It is famous for its health resorts and mineral waters. Since January 2010 has been a part of the new federal district of the North Caucasus, with the capital in Pyatigorsk.
