The Volga football club has hired a striker of the Azerbaijani
national team, Vagif Javadov, RIA Novosti reports.
Javadov was the best Azerbaijani football player in 2009. A player of
the Georgian national team Otar Martsvaladze left Volga and joined
Krasnodar, another club of the Russian Premier League.
President of the Volga FC Alexey Goykhman praised Javadov as a player
Volga strives for.
The 22-year old striker played for the Dutch team Twente in 2010. He
played for the Baku team and scored 4 goals in 23 matches.
The football played 37 matches for Azerbaijan in 2006, scoring 6 goals
in matches against Russia, Germany and the Czech Republic.
