Charity organization of Russian, Georgian communities in USA continue cooperation

Russian and Georgian charity organizations in the USA continue cooperation despite the conflict between Russia and Georgia, Voice of America reports.


The Soiree Caucasienne, an Orthodox Order of Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem, headed by Countess Tatyana Nikolayevna Bobrinskaya, and the American Friends of Georgia, headed by Marusya Chavchavadze organized a charity concert for Georgian children in need. The concert had Georgian national dance and song performances.


The events were supported by the Catholicos of All-Georgia Ilia II. Metropolitan of East America and New York Illarion, head of the Russian Church in America, was also at the concert.
