Turkey's testing body has abolished a rule barring students from using headscarf photos in the enrollment process, the Turkish news agency Hurriyet Daily News reports.
Turkey's Student Selection and Placement Center has removed a sentence from the Higher Education and Quota Guidebook that laid out the conditions for the photos used during enrollment, according to which, headscarf photos were considered unacceptable.
Removal of the sentence ended the ban on using headscarf photos when applying to universities.
