Khloponin: New University in North Caucasus Federal District to be in line with latest educational standards

Today, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District, Alexandre Khloponin discussed organizational issues related to the establishment of the North Caucasus federal university in the region, Yuga.ru reports.

As VK has reported recently, the decree "On establishment of the North Caucasus Federal University in the North Caucasus Federal District" was signed today by the president.

The head of the Russian Federation expressed hope that the new university will be the backbone for the creation of quality education and will gather the best forces available in the district and adjunct territories and would solve the educational problem at significantly better level than it is currently solved at a number of regional universities.

The most important aspect, according to Khloponin, is to provide new standards of education which will be consistent with the Bologna agreement, especially the teaching mobility of the staff and the mobility of students.
