Earthquake hits Tashkent, south Kazakhstan

At night on Tuesday at 00:35 powerful earthquake was registered in Tashkent.

There is no information on damage, however.

According to the National Geology Service of the USA (http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsww/Quakes/usc00050ll.php), the epicenter of the earthquake was located in Kyrgyzstan, close to the border with Uzbekistan.

The earthquake measured 6.2 points.
