The Tbilisi city court convicted on Friday a group of photographersaccused of spying andf handed them all suspended sentences.The court sentenced EPA photojournalist Zurab Kurtsikidze to threeyears suspended, photographers Giorgi Abdaladze and Irakli Gedenidze -to four years suspended, and Gedenidze's spouse Natiya to six monthssuspended. All had pleaded guilty.On the night of July 7, the four journalists were detained in Georgiaand were charged with espionage. The EPA photo agency photographerZurab Kurtsikidze, press photographer of the Georgian presidentialadministration Irakli Gedenidze with his wife, photographer of a localnewspaper, Natia Gedenidze and the press photographer of the Ministryof Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Giorgi Abdaladze.
