60,000 labor migrants leave Armenia every year

Some 60,000 people leave Armenia every year in order to find work
abroad,Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sarkssian said on Friday, Arka
reports.

He said the government is concerned with the numbers because since
1991 the country has been having serious demographic problems.

Sarkssian said that the number of permanent residents in Armenia now
stands at 3 million, while twice as many Armenians currently reside
abroad.
