Record-breaking heat in Russia's south

New weather records have been registered on July 26th in Sochi, Krasnodar, Vladikavkaz and Volgograd, Meteonovosti reports.

In Sochi, the previous record of 1972 has been surpasses by 2 degrees, with the temperature at +34.3C. In Vladikavkaz it is + 34.6 C. In Krasnodar and Volgograd it is hotter, +38.4 and +40.3 C respectively.

The reason for the heat in the south of Russia is hot air coming from Asia Minor (Turkey).

Hot and dry weather will remain in the south of Russia until next week.
