All-Russia practical science conference in Grozny

The All-Russia practical science conference in Chechnya's State
University, dedicated to the 65th anniversary of victory over Nazism,
started today Grozny-Inform reports.


The forum organizers were the government of Chechnya and the Chechen
Academy of Science. Among the participants are scientists, historians,
spokesmen from ministries and agencies, Higher Education teachers and
staff from science-research institutes, as well as museums of Moscow,
St. Petersburg and the North Caucasus republics.


Chechen Premier Vaykhanov made the opening speech, noting that such
meetings help restore justice to the Chechen people, who fought
together with other peoples in the Great Patriotic War.


 Parliamentary Speaker Duruvakh Abdurakhmanov in his opening speech
noted that Chechens made a worthy contribution to victory in the war.
"Today we can be proud of our fathers and grandfathers that fought to
the end protecting their homeland and making sacrifices of the most
dear every man has - his life. Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov is
doing his best to make sure our veterans have all they need,"
Abdurakhmanov said.


On the first day of the conference there various reports were read,
including "Labor contributions of Chechens in Kazakhstan during the
Great Patriotic War", "Soviet national policy in the Northern Caucasus
during the Great Patriotic War," and others.
