The Journalism Faculty of Moscow State University will change the
rules for the “creative” admission exam in 2012, RIA Novosti reports.
This decision was taken by the faculty after the scandal surrounding
the lowering of test scores during the entrance campaign of 2011, the
head of the Department of Journalism, Yasen Zasursky, has announced.
According to journalist and blogger Vladimir Varfolomeev, who was a
member of the selection committee of the Journalism Faculty of Moscow
State University, scores for the creative exam given by faculty
members were later reviewed by a special expert committee, which
lowered the applicants’ grades.
Zasursky said that from now on the creative exam will be held in two
parts – in written and oral forms.
