Karachay-Cherkessia discusses strengthening of inter-ethnic harmony

A round table dedicated to the strengthening of inter-ethnic harmony in poly-ethnic society took place in Karachay-Cherkessia.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs of Karachay-Cherkessia, representatives of mass media, Public Chamber Commission on Ethnic Relations and Freedom of Conscience, Center for Promotion of Human Rights (Moscow), Moscow Bureau for Human Rights and the Center for Conflict Resolution (Krasnodar).

The event was attended by representatives of executive bodies, public and religious leaders, experts, journalists and youth activists from Karachay-Cherkessia, as well as representatives from the expert and the scientific communities of Moscow, Krasnodar and the Republic of Abkhazia.

The participants called upon consolidating efforts in declaring the territory a region of peace and harmony.
