Kabardino-Balkaria launched today an interregional youth project
"Kunachestvo", involving exchange visits for teens of different ethnic
groups , ITAR-TASS reports.
This year 14 families will participate in the project. It involves
three Kabardian families, as well as two Balkar, two Chechen, two
Ossetian, two Karachai family, one Ingush, one Russian and one Lezgian
family. Adolescents will spend 4 days with a family in a neighboring
republic. The project is aimed at introducing diverse inter-ethnic
traditions and customs to the growing population which will facilitate
establishing friendly inter-regional, inter-religious and inter-ethnic
relations and contacts between different nationalities in the region.
