New platform of the South Caucasus Railways has been opened in Yerevan on 5 August. The stop Almast is located near the Almast plant in the Kanaker-Zeitoun district, News Armenia reports.
With the opening of a new platform Yerevan gains an alternative route to the Lake Sevan.
The platform "Almast" was closed in 2006 and now restored upon the request of citizens.
The South Caucasus Railways is a 100% subsidiary of the Russian Railways company.
