In Tbilisi, near the office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Affairs, a demonstration of refugees expelled by the authorities from the Abkhazeti hotel took place yesterday, Georgia Online reports.
The refugees urged the office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees to be a mediator in the negotiations between them and the authorities.
According to them, on the 5th of August the authorities informed the refugees that they have to move from the Abkhazeti hotel by August 15th, otherwise they would be expelled. 270 families who had to leave Tskhinvali in the 90s live in the Abkhazeti at the moment.
