The formation of the Georgian Muslim Administration worries
Azerbaijani citizens, the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for
Religious Structures of Azerbaijan, Gyunduz Ismailov, told a
conference on Azerbaijani-Georgian cooperation marking the 20th
anniversary of Azerbaijan in Batumi today, Trend reports.
The press-secretary of the Georgian Muslim Administration, Mikhail
Cheladze,said that the goal of his non-governmental organization is to
control the activities of Muslim communities in the country.
The conference opened in Batumi on August 28. It is being attended by
head of the socio-political section of the Azerbaijani Presidential
Administration Ali Gasanov, chairman of the State Committee for
Diasporas Nazim Ibragimov, Ombudswoman Elmira Suleymanova, MPs Ganir
Pashayev, Musa Gasymov and Gyulyar Ahmedov, Georgian State Minister
for Diasporas Mirza Davitaya and General Consul of Azerbaijan to
Batumi Guseyn Najafov.
