Iran offers US, Canada post-hurricane aid

Iran is ready to help the populations of the Central and North America in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene, the press secretary of the ministry for foreign affairs of Iran, Ramin Mekhmanparast, said.

Mekhmanparast expressed condolences on behalf of the government of Iran to the families of the victims of the hurricane.

Fourteen people died and some two million had to flee their homes.
