Muslims all over the world are marking Uraza-Bayram (Eid al-Fitr), the
end of the month of Ramadan. It is the day when Allah sent his first
version of the Quran to the Prophet Muhammad. Muslims are to do good
deeds and express care and support for all people in need, RIA Novosti
reports.
The Moscow Cathedral Mosque and the culture-exhibition center of
Sokolniki organized mass sacrifices for Muslims. The chairman of the
Mufti Council, Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, congratulated Muslims on this
day.
Russia 1 started broadcasting the celebrations on Monday at 9.05 am.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev congratulated all citizens and
wished them joy and prosperity.
