Georgian and Azerbaijani railways are forming a line between the
Caspian and Black Seas to form the Eurasian Transport Corridor, the
shortest connection between Asia and Europe, Business Georgia reports.
The two states are modernizing their railways and constructing a new
direct line over the Rikotsky Gorge.
Azerbaijan has a railway program for 50 electric trains and 4000 carriages.
