The sports complex of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University of
Berbekov has opened for the start of the new academic year, Yuga.ru
reports.
The complex was build according to the federal purpose program for
education development for 2006-2010 using advanced technologies and
equipment. 174 million rubles from the federal budget and 6.6 million
of the university were spent. 4.1 million rubles were spent on
equipment.
The sports complex has 6 lecture rooms, 5 rooms for graduating
departments, a laboratory "Biotekhnika", a weight-lifting hall, 2
gyms, an Olympic-class swimming pool. Kabardino-Balkarian Leader Arsen
Kanokov opened the center with a throw of a basketball.
Head of the state university Barasbi Karamurzov said that the center
will be a basis for education, sports and research. Playgrounds meet
international standards and allow international competitions to be
held.
