The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) has urged the
Armenian community in the USA to express discontent with Francis
Ricciardone as the US Ambassador to Turkey, News.am reports.
ANCA reminded about Ricciardone's earlier mistakes and prejudiced
responses in the Senate. The Committee for Foreign Affairs of the US
Senate will vote on September 13. John Heffern's candidature as an
ambassador to Armenia will be viewed the same day.
In a conversation with Sanetor Robert Menendez Ricciardone said that
most Christian churches in Turkey that operated until 1915 still
operate as churches, which is wrong.
