Electricity supplies were restored on Thursday in five districts and two cities in the Krasnodar Territory, which was troubled by gusting winds and sticky snow, YuGA.ru reports.
A change of weather conditions on Wednesday led to a partial cut in power supplies to customers in remote settlements of the region, leaving several tens of thousands of people without electricity. Throughout the day, more than 130 mobile teams of the Kubanenergo public utility carried out work to restore supplies.
"By the evening of March 10 in Slavyansky, Korenovsky, Timashevsky, Leningradsky and Tikhoretsky districts, as well as in the cities of Armavir and Novorossiisk, power supply was fully restored," the company press service reported. Currently, operational and recovery teams of all 11 subsidiaries of Kubanenergo are on 24-hour duty in a state of increased readiness.
