The “Border-Shield” operation in the Gakhsky District of Azerbaijan has resulted in large quantities of ammunition found and a criminal arrested, APA reports.
Aslan Aslanov Jalil oglu, born in the village of Gaysarly in the Gakhsky District in 1972, has been on the wanted list of the police of the Pervomaysky District of Dagestan. He was arrested.
346 cars and 376 passengers were checked, 5 protocols for administrative violations were filed, 18 cases of traffic violations were registered. The police found a 16-cal hunting rifle, 56 bullets of 7.62 mm and 48 of 5.45 mm, 3 UZRGMs and 1 F-1 hand grenade.
The “Border-Shield” operation was organized in the Balakansky, Zagatalsky, Gakhsky, Shekinsky and Oguzsky Districts of Azerbaijan to reveal illegal residents. The operation will continue until September 25.
