The Georgian Black Sea ports of Batumi have suffered from paralyzed traffic. Water levels reached 1-1.5 meters. Emergency services were mobilized to pump water out.
Several substations were damaged and caused a power cut for about 15,000 citizens (the population of Batumi is about 120,000). Power will be restored in a few hours. Batumi has not experienced such heavy rains for about 20 years, ITAR-TASS reports.
