Chairman of Caucasian Muslim Administration sees no future for region without interconfessional cooperation

The only way for the welfare of the Caucasus is mutual interethnic and interconfessional understanding, cooperation and preservation of territorial unity, the chairman of the Caucasian Muslim Administration, Sheikh Ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh, said at a scientific-practical conference for prevention of extremism in the Caucasus on Thursday.


The conference was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s independence. One of the main achievements of an independent Azerbaijan is stability of religious and spiritual values.


The meeting was organized by the Caucasian Muslim Administration and the Moscow State University of Linguistics. It is attended by religious figures, theologists and public figures of Azerbaijan and Russia.
