German football player Akaky Gogia wants to play for the Georgian national team. The 19-year old German player was playing for Augsburg FC, Georgia Online reports.
The statement was confirmed by Technical Director of the Georgian Football Federation Nika Chkheidze.
Coach of the Georgian national team Temur Ketsbaya had a personal conversation with Gogia and his family. The player will be granted Georgian citizenship.
