The presidential envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District, Alexander Khloponin, believes that the Caucasian Games can contribute to solving the so-called Circassian problem.
The Second Caucasian Games were opened in the Russian North Caucasus city of Cherkessk on October 1st. As Vestnik Kavkaz has previously reported, the competition includes 15 kinds of sports.
The organizers of the event say the Caucasian Games are useful in order to popularize sports, as well as national customs and traditions.
