Stavropol checks for fake diplomas

Seventy higher education institutions in the Stavropol region will be
inspected in the first half of 2012, the deputy head of the regional
administration, Vasily Balditsyn, has announced, Yuga.ru reports.

In addition, he added that a small number of educational institutions will be
inspected in 2011.

In August 2011 the governor of Stavropol said that some higher educational institutions are often given fake diplomas.
