The 20th anniversary of Azerbaijani independence was celebrated in many countries of the world. Since 1991, Independence Day has been marked in Azerbaijan as an official holiday each year on October 18th.
The day was marked in Estonia as well. A festive reception was held atTallinn City Hall. The event was sponsored by the Aydan Azerbaijani Cultural Center.
