Foreigners operating in Moscow to give fingerprints

Moscow authorities plan to introduce an obligatory procedure of taking fingerprints from foreigners and people without citizenship planning to work in the city, RIA Novosti reports.


The Directorate of the Russian Federal Migration Service in Moscow and the local Police Directorate will file proposals on such procedure to the Federal Migration Service.


Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin approved the initiative at the coordination council for law enforcement.
The government has also discussed ways to improve the order of detaining and expelling foreigners caught violating the law.
