Anzhi fans receive apologies from head of Ingushetia

The head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, has apologized to fans of the football club Anzhi for an attack that occured on October 16 on the territory of the republic, RIA Novosti reports.

Vestnik Kavkaza reported that last Sunday, a group of 30-40 people stopped five buses and several cars carrying Anzhi fans travelling from Nalchik to Makhachkala. People threw stones at the cars and two residents of Dagestan were injured.

According to the Interior Ministry, the reason for the attack could have been an accident, which occurred on the Kavkaz highway involving one of the buses of the fans and a car of a local resident.
