The Azerbaijani Emergencies Ministry has found dozens of dead bodies and six survivors of the earthquake in Van Province, Trend reports.
Three people were found yesterday.
Turkish Vice-Premier Bulent Arync said today that 279 people had died and 1,300 had been injured.
Experts believe that the death toll may reach a thousand.
The Red Crescent in Azerbaijan has started a campaign to gather donations to help Turkey, the head of the organization’s information section, Pyarviz Nazarov, said. Donations can be made in manats and dollars.
