Azerbaijan is the third largest source of labour migrants after Ukraine and Uzbekistan, Russian deputy head of the labour administration Ivan Shubailov said,1news.az reports.
The official says that Russia is of interest for many states, in terms of employment. Russia has quotas for foreign employees. The current quota is 1.8 million annually. Legal migrants sign contracts and get medical insurance.
Shubailov also noted that Russia has 3-4 million illegal migrants. It is trying to simplify the registration process for migrants. They no longer need to collect many documents to register as labour migrants. All they will need is a monthly patent and legal employment in Russia, he added.
