The Azerbaijani Emergencies Ministry has sent another aid portion to earthquake-stricken Van Province in Turkey, Trend reports.
40 vehicles left Baku this morning and will make their way to Turkey through Iran.
Deputy Emergencies Minister General-Lieutenant Etibar Mirzoyev said that help was being sent since the earthquake on October 23. It consists of 1,000 tents, 2,000 blankets, 40 generators and 40 sets of kitchen equipment.
The Emergencies Ministry has already sent 250 tents, 700 field sleeping sets, 3,000 blankets and 2,000 sleeping sets. 213 Azerbaijani specialists are operating in the area.
Azerbaijan has sent aid worth $1.7 million. Its specialists found 44 dead bodies in the ruins and saved 10 people.
The death toll consists of 481 people. Over 1,300 people were injured.
